Enrollment with Renaissance Academy

Renaissance Academy is a private organization offering a variety of educational options on a self-pay basis to homeschoolers as well as offering a tuition-free optional learning experience (OLE) for students enrolled with Oxford Virtual Academy.

Tuition for 100% Self-Pay Students

Electives/Homeschool
Self Pay - $1,800/year

Payment covers:

  • 4 elective classes per student, per semester
  • 2-3 of the 4 classes may be allocated to cover Renaissance Players tuition if desired

After 4 elective classes, additional elective class tuition for the student is $160 per class per semester

Hybrid
Self Pay - $4,800/year

Payment covers:

  • 6 classes per student, per semester – 4 core classes + 2 electives
  • Curriculum for core classes

After 6 classes, additional elective class tuition for the student is $160 per class, per semester

Renaissance Players
Self Pay - $1,100/year

Payment covers:

  • Full production theater classes, rehearsals, and performances

Fees/Requirements for Students Enrolled with Oxford Virtual Academy

Elective/Homeschool

$0 Tuition Optional Learning Experience (OLE) includes:

  • 4 elective classes per student, per semester
  • 2-3 of the 4 classes may be Renaissance Players

After 4 funded elective classes, the student’s tuition for additional elective classes is $160 per class per semester. Renaissance reserves the right to determine which additional classes will be funded through OVA OLE and which will be self-pay.

For fewer than 4 funded elective classes, the student’s additional elective class tuition is $225* per class per semester, plus any additional class fees. (Dual Enrolled or Full-time Oxford Students are eligible for 2 class minimum).

Hybrid

$0 Tuition Optional Learning Experience (OLE) includes:

  • 6 classes per student, per semester – 4 connected to core classes + 2 electives
  • Curriculum, materials, supplies
  • Electives may be taken through RHA, RHG, or Players

After 6 funded classes, the student’s tuition for additional elective classes is $160 per class per semester. Renaissance reserves the right to determine which additional classes will be funded through OVA OLE and which will be self-pay.

Renaissance Players

$0 Optional Learning Experience (OLE) Tuition +$50 Specialty Fee includes:

  • Full production theater classes, rehearsals, and performances

Fees Paid to RA

All fees due upon application/enrollment

One-time fee for all new RA families.

  • This fee also applies to previous RA families who have had a gap in enrollment and would like to return to RA.

Required each year for all RA families. Site Assistance includes help with set-up, lunch supervision, and/or take-down. Parents who prefer to opt out of assisting may submit a $100 fee for the school year.

Each year, a limited number of elective courses have high expenses that are not completely covered by self-pay tuition or OVA Enrollment. These fees are waived for students who are enrolled full-time with OVA for OLE at RA. Where applicable, Specialty Course fees are highlighted on our class list.

Each year, 2-3 courses (such as High School Biology & Chemistry) are offered on a self-pay only basis.

Family Supplied Items

Items purchased by parents outside of RA.

Students are required to wear uniforms on Hybrid class days.

  • For family cost savings, uniforms meeting RA requirements may be purchased through the family's preferred store or vendor for most items.
  • Plaid jumpers/skirts (if desired) must be purchased through Lands' End.

There is no charge for students to be with us during lunch. Students bring  sack lunches from home and enjoy time to connect with friends and whenever possible go outside for sports and play.

  • Optional self-pay Pizza Lunch Days are offered monthly as a fundraiser for our Theater program.

Families of students who will or may need to take medication while on site at RA must provide the medication to be stored on site for the school year.

  • Ex: EpiPen, ihnahler, etc.
  • Medications must be current (not expired)

Other

Paid to RA as Needed

It is essential that students are picked up on time when their classes end for the day. Late pick-up fees are as follows:

  • $15 for the first 15 minutes
  • $15 for each additional 5 minutes after the first 15 minutes

Families that are late in dropping off or picking up more than two times in a semester may be restricted in future RA enrollment opportunities.

When a student enrolls with Renaissance Academy, RA enters into contracts and makes purchases on behalf of the student. Due to this, drop fees after confirming RA enrollment are as follows:

  • All self-pay payments are non-refundable.
  • $1,000 drop fee per student.
