All families are entirely responsible for the funding of their student's enrollment with Renaissance. Options are to self-pay, have tuition covered by enrolling for School of Choice funding and fulfilling all School of Choice funding requirements for the school year, or a combination of both.
Families that would prefer to be with Renaissance Hybrid Academy (RHA) on a 100% self-pay basis are welcome to do so.
For Hybrid students, School of Choice Funding covers 4 RHA core classes, curriculum (books, workbooks, etc.) for those core classes, and 2 RHG elective classes per student, per semester.* These students are enrolled as full time public school students as well as RHA Hybrid students.
Too many great elective classes to choose from? We hear you! Many families feel the same and opt to self-pay for additional RHG classes beyond the 2 that can be funded.
In the rare case where a family drops School of Choice enrollment or does not fulfill funding requirements for the full school year, students are converted to 100% self-pay with Renaissance and the family is then responsible for the full tuition that would have been funded.
One time new Renaissance family application and enrollment fees vary, depending on the date of application. For maximum savings, early application for the following school year is always recommended. Click here for 23-24 new family admissions links & fees.
All Course Materials for Core Classes are provided for Hybrid Students.
Some course materials may need to be purchased for elective classes and will be listed in the course description.
There is no charge for students to be with us during lunch. Students bring sack lunches from home and enjoy time to connect with friends and whenever possible to go outside for sports and play. Optional self-pay Pizza Lunch Days are sometimes offered.
Field trips are always optional and self-pay for families that would like to participate.
Optional funding for RHA students is available through Oxford Virtual Academy. OVA admission is not need dependent and is open to most Michigan students via school of choice enrollment.
Students enrolled with OVA will be granted funding for 4 RHA Core classes plus 2 elective classes, per semester for K-8th grade students.
